Ahle Sunnat demands Latif’s arrest

DHAKA: Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat demanded arrest of Posts and Telecommunications Minister Abdul Latif Siddique for his remarks against hajj and Prophet Mohammad.Advocate Moshaheb Uddin Bokhtiar, central member secretary of the party’s coordination committee, made the demand on Tuesday afternoon.He said: “MP Latif should be arrested soon after he arrives in the country.”In protest against Latif Siddique’s statement, he further demanded Latif’s removal from the cabinet and cancellation of his membership from the parliament.On Sunday, Latif denounced hajj and the Prophet while addressing a reception in New York.
