DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said Abdul Latif Siddique will be dropped from the cabinet and all party posts for his denouncement on hajj and Prophet Muhammad.
The Prime Minister made the announcement while talking to Awami League leaders at Sylhet Osmani International Airport after returning from London on Thursday morning.
The premier concluded her ten-day visit to the USA and the UK.
The government on Wednesday removed the Posts and Telecommunications Minister Abdul Latif Siddique from the cabinet amid controversy for his comments on hajj in New York.
On Sunday, Latif denounced hajj and the Prophet while addressing a reception in New York.
