DHAKA: BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman sent a legal notice to Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif.
Barrister Kaiser Kamal sent the notice to Hanif on behalf of Tariqur Rahman on Tuesday.
Earlier, Mahbubul Alam Hanif branded Tarique Rahman as an Al-Qaeda member.
In the notice, Kaiser Kamal said a defamation case will be filed against Hanif if the notice was not replied within two weeks.
On September 6, Hanif at an Awami League rally in Kushtia alleged that Tarique Rahman has a link with Al-Qaeda.
